Publication Ethics & Plagiarism Policy
At ISCSITR, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. Our Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy ensures that all submitted work adheres to ethical guidelines, is original, and contributes meaningfully to the academic community.
Publication Ethics:
-
Author Responsibilities:
- Authors must ensure that their research is original and free from any form of misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism.
- Proper attribution must be given to all sources, and all contributions from co-authors must be properly acknowledged.
- Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure that the research complies with ethical standards, particularly in cases involving human or animal subjects.
- Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. All submissions should be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
-
Reviewer Responsibilities:
- Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback on submitted manuscripts while maintaining confidentiality.
- Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and should recuse themselves if they feel unable to review a manuscript impartially.
- They should report any ethical concerns, including plagiarism or data manipulation, that may arise during the review process.
-
Editor Responsibilities:
- Editors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to ISCSITR journals are handled impartially and fairly, free from any form of bias or conflicts of interest.
- They will ensure a fair peer-review process and make publication decisions based on the quality of the work, its originality, and its contribution to the field.
- Editors will also ensure that ethical concerns, such as plagiarism or ethical violations, are addressed and corrected when necessary.
Plagiarism Policy:
-
Originality of Manuscripts:
- All manuscripts submitted to ISCSITR journals must be original works that have not been published elsewhere. Plagiarism, including copying text, figures, or ideas without proper attribution, is strictly prohibited.
-
Plagiarism Detection:
- All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection tools to ensure that they meet our standards for originality. Any manuscript with significant overlap with previously published work will be rejected or returned to the author for revision.
-
Consequences of Plagiarism:
- If plagiarism is detected, whether intentional or unintentional, the submission will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the article will be retracted, and the author(s) may face sanctions, including being banned from submitting future work to ISCSITR journals.
-
Self-Plagiarism:
- Authors must avoid reusing significant portions of their own previously published work without proper citation or disclosure. Self-plagiarism is considered unethical and will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
Licensing Policy:
All articles published by ISCSITR are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to share, adapt, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as proper attribution is given to the original author(s).
By following the CC BY 4.0 license, we ensure that research is freely accessible and can be widely disseminated, while still maintaining the integrity and attribution of the original work.
