At the International Society of Computing Science and Information Technology Research (ISCSITR), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and quality. Our Judging/Peer Review process is an essential part of ensuring that the research published in our journals meets rigorous academic criteria and contributes valuable knowledge to the scientific community.
The Peer Review Process
-
Initial Submission Screening:
- When a manuscript is submitted to one of our journals, it first undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team. This step ensures that the submission adheres to the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. If a submission does not meet these basic criteria, it is returned to the authors for revision or rejection.
-
Double-Blind Peer Review:
- ISCSITR follows a double-blind peer review process, meaning both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures impartial and unbiased evaluations, allowing the manuscript to be judged solely on its scholarly merit, originality, and contribution to the field.
- Manuscripts are assigned to at least two expert reviewers with deep knowledge in the relevant field of study. These reviewers critically evaluate the paper for:
- Originality: Does the research present new insights, theories, or findings?
- Relevance: Does the research align with current trends or emerging topics within the discipline?
- Methodology: Is the research methodologically sound, and are the data and analysis appropriate and valid?
- Clarity: Is the manuscript well-written, logically structured, and easy to follow?
- Citations and References: Are the sources cited appropriately and adequately, and do they support the research?
-
Reviewer Feedback:
- After careful evaluation, the reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript, including any revisions or improvements needed. They make one of the following recommendations:
- Accept without revisions
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
- Reject (if the manuscript does not meet the necessary standards)
- The feedback is returned to the authors, who then have the opportunity to address the reviewers' comments and make necessary revisions to improve the manuscript.
- After careful evaluation, the reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript, including any revisions or improvements needed. They make one of the following recommendations:
-
Author Revisions:
- Authors are given a specific timeframe to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments. During this phase, they must respond to each reviewer’s feedback and outline how they have incorporated the suggested changes.
-
Final Decision:
- Once the authors resubmit the revised manuscript, it is reviewed again by the same reviewers to ensure that all concerns have been addressed. The reviewers then make a final recommendation to the editorial board, which decides whether the paper should be accepted for publication, further revised, or rejected.
-
Publication:
- If the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to copyediting and formatting before being published in the journal. The entire process is designed to ensure that only the highest quality, peer-reviewed research is included in our publications.
Why Our Peer Review Process Matters:
- Ensures Quality and Credibility: Our rigorous peer review process ensures that only scientifically sound, original, and impactful research is published.
- Promotes Fairness and Transparency: The double-blind process maintains objectivity, reducing bias and promoting a fair evaluation of the research.
- Improves Manuscripts: Reviewer feedback often helps authors strengthen their manuscripts by identifying areas for improvement or clarifying points that may be unclear to readers.
