Author Guidelines
ISCSITR - International Journal of Cyber Security (ISCSITR-IJCS) welcomes original and high-quality research papers that contribute to advancements in Cyber Security theory, methodology, and applications. To maintain rigorous academic standards, authors are required to adhere to the following submission guidelines:
- Types of Manuscripts
ISCSITR-IJCS accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting new findings, methods, or theoretical developments in AI.
- Review Articles: Surveys of recent advancements in specific areas of AI, providing insights into future research directions.
- Manuscript Preparation
2.1. General Format
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.
- Document Format: All submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX (.tex) format.
- Length: Original research articles and review papers should be between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including references and appendices. Short communications should be up to 3,000 words.
- Font: Use 12-point Times New Roman or a similar font.
- Spacing: Double-spacing should be used throughout the manuscript, including the abstract, references, and figure legends.
- Margins: Use standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
2.2. Structure of the Manuscript
Each manuscript should include the following sections in the specified order:
- Title Page:
- Title: A concise, descriptive title (no more than 15 words) without abbreviations.
- Author Information: List the full names of all authors, their affiliations, and email addresses. Clearly indicate the corresponding author.
- Abstract: A brief summary of the research, no more than 250 words, highlighting the purpose, methods, key results, and significance of the study.
- Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that represent the core topics of the manuscript.
- Introduction: Present the background of the study, highlighting the research gap and the objectives of the paper.
- Methodology: Provide a clear, detailed description of the methods, models, and algorithms used in the research. This section should allow replication of the study.
- Results: Present the findings clearly, using tables, figures, or charts where appropriate. Avoid repetition of data already presented in figures or tables.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and compare them with prior research in the field. Address any limitations and suggest future research directions.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their potential impact on the field of AI.
- Acknowledgments: Acknowledge any funding, institutional support, or individuals who contributed to the research but are not listed as authors.
- References: Use APA format for references, listed in alphabetical order. All references must be cited in the text. Examples include:
- Journal Article: Author(s). (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, Volume(Issue), Page range.
- Book: Author(s). (Year). Title of book. Publisher.
- Figures and Tables:
- Figures should be submitted in high-resolution formats (JPEG or PNG) and numbered consecutively in the text (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2).
- Tables should be editable and placed after the references or within the manuscript body.

- Cover Letter: A cover letter must be submitted along with the manuscript, outlining the significance of the study, its originality, and confirming that the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism Check: Manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism. ISCSITR- IJCS strict anti-plagiarism policies, and submissions with high similarity scores will be rejected.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretations of their research.
- Ethical Compliance: If the research involves human participants or animal subjects, authors must provide a statement confirming that all procedures followed the relevant ethical standards.
- Review Process
ISCSITR-IJCS follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure an impartial and high-quality review. All submissions are reviewed by at least two experts in the field. The review process typically takes 1-2 weeks, after which the corresponding author will be notified of the editorial decision (accept, revise, or reject).
- Revisions
If revisions are requested, the authors must resubmit the revised manuscript within 30 days. Authors should include a detailed response to the reviewers' comments, indicating how each concern has been addressed.
- Publication Charges
ISCSITR-IJCS is an open-access journal, providing free access to all published articles. To cover publication costs, there is an article processing charge (APC), payable upon acceptance. The APC details can be found on https://iscsitr.com/index.php/index/APC.
- Copyright and Licensing
Upon acceptance, authors will be required to transfer copyright to ISCSITR-IJCS. The journal operates under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which allows for the sharing and adaptation of the work as long as proper attribution is given.
- Post-Acceptance
Once accepted, the article will undergo copyediting, typesetting, and final proof review before publication. Authors will receive page proofs for review, and any corrections must be returned within 24 hours.
